You are required to use the Adobe Flash software to create the final animation of the logo. Below is and example of a completed animated logo and the process you should follow to complete the task.
- Outline in dot points each step of your animated sequence for your animation.
- Summarise the points to between 6 - 10 points, grouping points that could be explained in one drawing.
- Using a storyboard layout sheet, create a storyboard that shows the key stages of your animation. Your illustrations should be clear and well drawn to present to your client for consideration and for the animator to work from to create the animation. (This will be you in this case, but as a storyboard artist this may not always be the case).
- Make sure you fill in the sections for the visual and audio below your drawings. These sections should explain to the animator and client what will be happening visually in the animation for example spins or transitions, and also what audio will be happening at the time such as voice over (what is being said by a narrator or voice over artist), sound effects or music.
- When you have completed your storyboard it should be shown to your client or teacher for evaluation ready to get the go ahead to start animating.
- You should now use the tools and animation techniques that you have learnt in Adobe Flash to create your final animation.
- When you have completed your animation in Flash, export your animation as a quicktime movie.
- Now create your audio, music and sound effects using the Garageband software and save your audio files in the appropriate format.
- Import your quicktime movie animation and your audio files into iMovie and complete your final editing of your animation, adding in any transitions or visual effects that you have outlined in your storyboard.
- Save and export your final animation and submit for assessment.
